The express format is the better buy for a first visit with a beach holiday attached. The Vesuvius day is the better buy if standing on the crater rim is the point. The Herculaneum day is the one for anybody who has already seen Pompeii, or who wants Roman domestic architecture preserved to first-floor height.
All three cover your admission and a guide. The express format adds round-trip train tickets from Sorrento and a listening device hired from an independent company, which you hand back at the end. The Vesuvius day adds priority access to both the Archaeological Park and the crater. The Herculaneum day adds the second admission and the transport between the sites.
